| Instructor Bio: | Introduced to crochet and sewing during her childhood, Kate Dula has honed and expanded her skills in those art forms and beyond for more than 20 years. She loves to help beginners to persist through the struggle of building a new skill and to find joy and satisfaction in the process of making beautiful and/or useful items. Kate is especially interested in historical crafting methods and how functional, home-based crafts have evolved over time. After growing up in Hampton, Virginia, Kate earned a BSBA with a minor in Theater from Christopher Newport University, and is currently a member of "Southeastern Civilian Living Historians," a historical lifeways reenactment group.
